Materials:  Foam Core Board, Black Felt, Pool Noodle, Glue, Paper

This lap-top keyboard cover is an easy adaptation to block out visual clutter for those students that use alternative access methods for input.  For switch users, auditory learners, and young learners, the mobility of the laptop can be beneficial because it can be moved around even placed on the floor.  The pool noodles create enough of a lip that false activations to the keyboard can be eliminated.  This keyboard cover slides right over the lap top keyboard.

To create,  measure the width and length of your keyboard and add 2 inches to each side. Cut the foam core board to these demensions.  Wrap the board in the black felt with the seam meeting on the bottom.  Use hot glue to adhere.  Cut the pool noodle in 2 strips.  These should meet the dimensions of the length of the board.  Adhere pool noodle to the bottom of the board with glue.  If needed stuff paper in the holes of the pool noodle to keep the noodles strong and sturdy.
