Colors

                                                          Exploring Colors

Objective: Students will use a variety of media to explore colors. Students will mix different colored paint and observe outcome.

Materials: non-toxic paint, variety of paint brushes including sponges and rollers,  paper, and if desired items to add texture such as sand, salt, sugar also non-toxic aromatherapy scents found at local stores such as Joanne Fabrics and Michaels to add desired scent.

Activities: For multisensory experience, select a color that correlates with the activity you are working on.. for example "Orange"  for the book "The Carrot Seed".   Students can paint their own carrot using orange paint, orange scent and an added texture.
