Lucky Ducks Game

This is an example of an adaptation made to the game "Lucky Ducks." The object of the game is to match colors and shapes. In this game the students take turn choosing ducks hoping to find a duck that will match the texture on their lily pad. The ducks are pre-made with different shapes located on the bottom. Use a texture that will match the shape that is on the bottom of the duck.
Simple battery operated toys and devices can be adapted for those that use single switches by using a battery interrupter. These are available through assistive technology companies/catalogs, such as Ablenet, Inc. By adding a battery interrupter and a single switch, a child that uses switches can play games along with family and friends. For the Lucky Ducks game, the switch controls the movement of the ducks around the pond.
