Materials needed:

Switch jack 1/8 inch Mono Panel mount
22 gauge wire
Wire cutters
Wire strippers
Sewing needle
Yellow Thread
Simba has a momentary switch in each ear. These switches are controlled from inside a hard enclosure that is very difficult to get to after the device is fully assembled. Therefore I am recommending two different methods for adaptation.
Adaptation:
In order to insure the momentary switch and the new switch jack both functions properly the switch jack must be wired in parallel with the momentary switch. Since the switch jack is being assembled to material it will easily pull from the material unless a backer material is used. I recommend a clear plastic that is ridged enough for the switch jack to not pull through it.
Process:
1) Find the seam between the ear and the head on the backside of the ear.
2) Using a seam splitter carefully split the seam open.
a) The opening should be centered on the white bag that contains the momentary switch.

4) Using a seam splitter split the seam on the bag to get the momentary switch out.
You can completely split the entire seam so the wires that you need to add will be toward the bottom of the bag. Or you can cut a small hole in the bottom of the bag to insert the wires into.
6) Toward the bottom of the printed circuit board you will see where the two wires attach to the board.
7) Get a the 22 gauge stranded wire
8) Cut two pieces about 1 inch long
9) Strip and tin 1/8 inch on both ends of each wire
10) Solder one side of a wire to one of the wires for the momentary switch where it is soldered to the printed circuit boar
12) Solder the other end of the wire to the switch jack post closes to the threads of the jack
13) Solder the other end of the other wire to the switch jack post furthest away from the first wire you soldered
15) Insert the printed circuit board back into the white bag
16) Sew the bag back together
a) Be careful not the hit any wires when sewing
17) Insert the bag back into the ear
a) Be sure to push this bag down toward the lobe of the ear and away from the opening of the ear
18) Get backer material two pieces
19) Place one piece of backer material on the switch jack
20) Insert the switch jack into the ear with backer in place
21) When you find the ideal place for the switch jack to be located start a small hole in the ear material where the threads of the switch jack will come out.
a) The hole must be small to conform around the switch jack
22) Force the switch jack through the hole
23) Place the second piece of backer material over the switch jack that is now sticking our through the ear material
24) Get knurled nut for the switch jack
25) Place a small amount of thread locker on the threads of the knurled nut

26) Secure the switch jack to the ear with the knurled nut
27) Stitch the hold in the ear using the yellow thread
Repeat for the second ear.
