The Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) is a base of knowledge and skills that are needed by students with visual impairments due to their unique needs.  The Expanded Core Curriculum is in addition to core curricular areas included in general education.  The ECC is a specific framework used to assess, plan individual goals and provide instruction for students with visual impairments.
