Activity: Do a snowman poem. Then ask the children to stand up. Have the children stand in a row and ask if the person next to you is the same height. Then tell the children you will place them in a row from shortest to tallest. Let the children try to indentify (with help if needed) who is the tallest and who is the shortest. Maybe find out who is in the middle. Ask the children to sit down and give each child a sentence strip. Let each child pick 5 different sizes of snowmen or snowflakes. Remove the paper from the backs and put the snowmen or snowflakes on the sentence strip from shortest to tallest. If time permits let each child do one of each. Count how many items each child has on their sentence strip.
