Need High Contrast on Book Shelf

When a child with visual impairments goes to  the reading center to select a book, it is important that they know what all of their choices might be.  Visual scanning can be made easier by increasing the space between books and by providing a high contrast between and behind the books.  Here is an example from our reading center where black construction paper was added to the back of the shelves.
