Communication and Participation in an Interactive Story

Use of any low-tech or high-tech Augmentative Communication system will allow students to actively participate in each unit.  When creating stories that use repeating lines, use texture or picture symbols to represent the main idea or topic being read.  Record the repeating line onto the device.  When possible record a voice as  similar to the reader as possible, i.e. a young girl or boys voice to represent a young learner's voice.
