Fabulous Fall!! So many sensory ideas to explore. Take a fall walk around your school or neighborhood and collect items for your "Fall Touch Box." Place items such as leaves, gourds, pumpkins, seeds, acorns in a box and allow students to explore. Discuss the sights, scents, textures, shapes, colors etc.. this is a great time to share vocabulary/scientific terms. Remember to re-visit these items over and over so students have the repeated exposure as their sighted peers receive incidentally.
What are your favorite Fall Sensory Ideas?

Welcome to the new Visually Impaired Curriculum website, known as "VIC". This is our first attempt at developing a website, and we are still in the process of adding new articles and resources. Please stop back periodically to review our progress.
We need your help! - Are there topics, threads, or activities you would like to see on the site? Is there something you would like to see discussed on the blog? What can we do to improve the site? - We value your input. Please provide us feedback!
And we know our readers also have wonderful ideas for lessons and activities. Please fill free to drop us an email message with your ideas or activity, and we might add it to the site.
Thanks for looking and come back again,
Karen and Jennifer
